I have seen some numbers. They are astonishing.
There is never going to be socialized health care in the US. There is too much money to be made in the current for profit healtcare model.

Just wait till you find out how much money lobbyists spend to keep it fucked up.

Most of my adult life all the shitty ideas and behaviours of the US right have leaked out across the Anglosphere and emboldened the fuckwits, bigots and racists in other countries. It’s been a ongoing escalation of disappointment and enshitification.

Right now in Aotearoa we have a wannabe individualist hard neoliberal government, networked and financed with the same clowns behind project 2025 working to conserve power for sunset industries who gained power by outright mimicking US culture wars, even (apropos of nothing in a local context) including gun control. WTAF.

Right now they have a hard-on for privatising our healthcare system. If y’all can find the balls to actually do something about your own privatised mess, that would genuinely be a great thing for millions both in the US and across the world. Please, please keep this up and actually make some progress.

Worth noting that CEOs generally travel by private jets that take off and land at small municipal airports located in urban or residential areas. For the sake of the safety of this countries best and brightest, it is important to NOT exercise your 2nd amendment rights in a vertical manner in these areas.

For more of a Gallagher like experience I would like to see a rotating circular saw blade, or just a giant wooden mallet I guess.

As someone in the healthcare industry (albeit @ the bedside, not financial or insurance) I'd love to see it happen. But don't think it'll happen, certainly not in my lifetime. I think the ACA is as close as we'llget for a good while.

yeah and most of them flying into the bay area land about 2 miles from me at the Livermore Airport. Lots of Gulfstreams are landing and taking off all week long

Riding past the morgue.
I still think that there is a greater than zero chance a firefighter whacked him.

Edit: it is a distant third for sure though.
