Hey,

Has anyone out there put a Fox RP3 or Manitou swinger 4-Way Air onto a Santa Cruz Heckler. I have both a Heckler and a Bullit; and I am looking to make the Heckler alittle more XC/trail then it is now with the 5th. If you can give me any good input, please help me out.

If you check the Turner forum on MTBR there is a member who has put both of those shocks and several more on a 5-spot. I know it's not the same bike, but it would be a good side by side comparison of the shock alone.

Do you want a lot of platform? In my experience with the 3-way, I found that the SPV pressure does not affect the amount of platform as much as it does on my 5e. ie, the 5e had a lot more range of adjustment.

Have you looked at the 5e air shocks?

not on a hecklet but i have but significant time into both shocks and i must say the rp3 is by far the superior shock,
the rp3 climbed and had small bump sensitivity the swinger couldn't touch, the swinger seemed to compress and then stay in its stable platform when out of the saddle, but the rp3 didn't have the sink and pedal feeling, i stayed seated on more climbs and feel much more small bump sensitivity
