I'm new to mountain biking, and have had my Heckler for about a year.
In that time I've gone through four bottom brackets, three complete sets of both front and back rear shock bushings, not to mention the rear bushing bolt bent twice. The main, downtube pivot once.
Rear dropout, once.
I've replaced most of an XT rear freewheel, two weeks after the hub was repacked (and one ride).
My Hayes brakes need bleeding every six rides-that's every two-three weeks.
I'm not a frequent-flyer-Biggest drops ~3-4ft.
I'm good about owner maintenance-frequent and appropriate cleaning, lube, etc.
I ride muddy trails, twice a week-5'6", 157lbs.
Is this a typical parts-replacement history?
Sram XO, only part not ever giving me grief.

Well, you might wanna try a different bottom bracket brand. But some people go thru a lot of 'em.

Shock bushings, that's normal wear. They get F'ed up, simple as that.

Dropout - normal. That's got the derailleur hanger on it, right? Der. hangers bend, and need to be replaced now and then, that's why they're replaceable.

XT freehubs DO NOT hold up in muddy/wet conditions, no surprise there. Try a quality sealed hub, if you can come up with a couple hundred bucks, get a Chris King and it'll never need replacing, ever.

Hayes brakes - you should not have to bleed them. You have a leak somewhere, probably from crimping the hose near the lever attachment, which is letting air in. Get some new hoses and have 'em installed by somebody who REALLY knows their sh*t. Something is screwy, you shouldn't have to bleed brakes unless you actually remove or break the hose. Hopefully you don't have a faulty master cylinder seal or something like that, it could be a pain in the ass to track down.

So basically - sounds like you ride hard has hell, and yeah, that's pretty much a typical parts schedule!
