Actually Luc the stays on the lambda are shorter, and the BB height is about the same, TT is 1/2in longer than the Disco, and ST is same. so the bikes are actually very close in size :eviltongu
And the first drop i did on the bike was a 5ft to flat to test er out, and i did bash my knee on the links, but after that, for the remaining 8hrs of riding last saturday i didnt have the slightest problem with it.

Don, don't you think you should have waited until you actually rode the Karpiel (about a DH specific bike as you can get) on an actual DH run before ditching it? You dropped that beautiful rig like a hot potato without ever getting it into it's intended element, DH trails in the mountains.
It certainly isn't going to "pedal well" for trail riding, it isn't a trial bike. IMO, that is like saying "I'm selling this new Armani suit because its hard to swim in." ok, maybe that is a stretch, but you know what I'm saying
Best of luck with the Nicolai, but stick with it and really work it over (or be worked over by it, either way) before making a judgement this time. If it's all about dropping to flat, buy an Imperial and a stack of DoubleWides and have at it.

I wish I needed a DH bike, I'd love to take that Disco on some proper DH runs. I'll bet it's smooth like glass and faster than greased owl-poop.

WOW!!!!! Yeah he really is missing out on taking the Disco where it really was intended to go. The Disco is by no means an urban type bike, it needs dirt & rocks, loves dirt & rocks and is amazing on dirt & rocks.

Yes I know i will miss the Karp, and am stupid for selling it, but i do like the Nicolai more, as right now, i do urban on a big bike, and this lambda pedals just like your RFX, you will see saturday at CPX if its not raining like it is right now. And I am getting an Imperial, but no doublewides
Hey mr PP;
Turn the upper links upside down, get the shorter lower links on there and stick a 6.5" x 1.5" shock on it.
You will then have one of the stiffest, strongest, urban/jump bikes around........with the coolest color scheme ever and you won't have to deal with buying or selling more bikes.
The rear end will also shorten rather than elongate like when in the long travel DH setup and pedal like a champ.........perfect!!!
Talk about versatility, an hour worth of labor and you go from urban to DH.
Well all I can say is the Lambda is nice!
