I don't know anything about this but for $40 it would have to really suck for it to not be worth it. Check out www.woot.com. They only sell a limited amount so it could sell out soon.

Does anyone have any experience with the product?

The quality is too low to be worth it in my opinion. 320x240 at 15fps is terrible.

Helmet specific cams suck. No matter what the price.

The best way to get a good shot is to duct tape a cheap camcorder straight to your helmet. This works better if you've got a larger, moto-style helmet, but regular style XC lids will still work. With the light helmets, it's best to attatch a counterweight on the opposite side of the helmet. A cheap wide angle lens is also a good idea, since branches and brush can scrape the naked lense pretty easily. This method not only gets you great, clear footage, but it also allows audio, which really compliments the film, and it uses the camera's built-in steady-shot features.

Go for the small, cheap cam with a cheap wide angle. Ebay it if you have to. It works a lot better than those stupid aftermarket helmet cams.
