So my helmet is as dirty as a three day old diaper. Whats the best cleaning technique? Oh, it's a bell balistic full face and the inner pads aren't removable.
I was thinking about tearing the pads out to wash them. Then using velcro to stick them back in.

I would probably just soak it in the bathhtub in some soapy water, squeezing the pads occasionally to get out as much dirt as possible.

Soapy sponge it a few dozen times then febreeze it.

Soak in a bath tub then squeeze or push on pads until clean water comes out of them. Then repeat. Use a wet/dry vac and suck out the remaining water. Then let dry in the sun for a day or two. Febreeze it. Let it dry in the sun as long as you can. If you cant use the sun, sit it by a fan. You want it to dry as quickly as possible.

Ok, so puting the whole helmet in the bathtub won't ruin it?

Nope, just make sure to dry it out quickly and completely. Use a fan and heat. Set it on a heater vent in the house for a few days or in the sun. I clean my helmet a lot and have never had a problem. I like a clean helmet.
