HELP! I'm at a loss for answers regarding a Chris King hub...

Hey,

I know/hope that all you techie guys can help me...

I have an '04 iron Horse SGS Pro. I want to get a Chris King Hub for my rear wheel. My rear wheel is a 36 hole...does Chris King make a hub to fit one of these? I can't seem to find an answer and I am a little miffed at this point, so I leave it to you guys...can ya help a guy out?

They don't make one yet, but hopefully they will introduce a DH hub in the near future. The IH has a 12 mm thru-axle, and has 165mm spacing, neither of which CK makes a hub in. I think Sun Ringle makes the correct size, and possibly Hadley, too.

Yeah King is a little behind........no 12mm yet, no wider spacing.......no 1.5 headsets, no BB's still........they lag.

I think Hope, Hadley, Ringle, DT swiss? maybe all make hubs that are wider than 135mm. Some might only go up to 150mm but 165mm Hadley has to make one. They seem to be on the frame builders speed dial for larger hubs.

King headsets rock and their regular hubs do as well but you become limited with the changing of frame designs out there. Pretty soon you'll be lucky to see 135mm on a DH bike. Give it a few years atleast.
