Umm what are you using it for primarily? What do you want out of it? Are those your only options? Been on either of them before? - I have a Big Hit and its pretty nice for an all around bike with its focus in FR but can also do DH and even XC if you're strong enough. FSR is a pretty good suspension design though I just bought a Turner...There are a couple drawbacks to it though. 1) 24" wheel sucks for going up anything I always spin it. 2) The tire doesn't roll as fast or roll over objects as easy. 3) More limited tire/wheel selections on a 24". The components hold up pretty well on a Big Hit but no clue how the Stance handles at all(Spec. components seemed to have been downgraded and price went up this year?)...Stinkys have gimp 888VFs but I always put my money into Marzocchi, they are damn good and bullet proof. Try to ride both they are SOO similar it will probably come down to wheter or not you like the "fistiferous"(sp) feel or the PLUSHness of the shocks.

I'm not going to answer your first question because I'm not an American.

I have a Kona Stinky, I really like the bike, its super strong, pedals ok (much better with the Swinger 4way), the short chainstays are for great for steep twisty technical descents, street, jumping and North shore.
The angles are very 'freeride' this means that at high speed it feels a little nervous. In rock gardens you'll notice 'some' brake-jack, but it's not as bad as some people say. The full length seat tube is a plus for 'pedaling up the hill'.
I'm 1.83m and ride a 17" frame.

I've had some time on the Bighit and I think this will be my next bike.
It's pretty cheap for what you get, not too heavy and the 24" rear wheel isn't a problem for me.

Both bikes aren't full-on DH machines, but both bikes are super for what you pay. Try to ride both bikes, compare the components and decide which one you like the most. You can't go wrong with these bikes.
