No the Lenosky does not have the two pins in the middle. The Lenosky logo looks pretty cool.

From Andy himself:

They are the same dimensions as the GloryHoles so you have maximum foot placement also with the pins in the center there is a lot more traction (not that the GloryHole pedals didn't have enough grip!) Outer pin height is increased by a 1/16 of an inch and you could lower them also by a 1/16, There is a cromoly ball bearing located under the pin, Just screw the pin out and remove the ball. Same bearings same axle. Color choices will be black, gold, and maybe a nice shade of gray Availability will be sometime next spring. $113.00 msrp

No they are the race version. The Gloryholes you can get at Racers Edge in Brooklyn - call Gerald at 781 531 3100. The race should not be out before spring.

I have been riding the Mentals since early production and love these pedals. :thumb:

Marshall is a great guy and really has designed a good line up w/ Syncros.
The pins are very easy to replace even after grinding them down.

Do not slip a peddle as the same pins that enable your shoe to stick like glue rip the ****e out of your shins.

i personnally really like the wellgo line up. they are inexpensive last a long time (2 years plus on 2 different pedals). there are also many differant designs to choice from your your liking. right now i have been using the MG-1's and these things are wicked light. the other set that i used was the tioga mx-pro which is a glorified wellgo b-27 and those things lasted me about 2.5 years of hard riding when the bearing finally let out. this is my fault though because the pedal gave me plenty of worning that something was up but i just didn't get the message.

The Gloryholes look nice but I like the race pedals with the pins in the center. I need pedals now. When will the Race be available. Are there any weights on these pedals?

zu-zu's break too easily, i broke 2 of them in less than a season. I have had the atomlab trailkings didn't really like them. Now I'm using the new Specialized pedals, similar to the truvativ's and love them as long as they hold up.

If your not too much of a hack, get atomlabs, even though the cs sucks. Still the best feeling pedals I've ridden.

I'm personally looking to get a set of profile's gas pedals...should last a nuclear war and then some.

And if money's no obstacle, get yourself a set of Assault racings MX-100's. the sexiest pedals around.

My poverty sealed have bent spindles from being on a hard-hitting hardtail.
My bottomoftheline caged pedals have too small of a platform, they rool around under your foot when pedaling.
My crappy wellgo flats do just fine, and are quite strong too.
My azonic mags were ok, a little small platform though.

Get an unsealed bmx pedal with a huge profile, they are really, truly the best, and cheapest.

Atomlab Aircorps are the best pedals I have used yet, no question.

Those Assaults are fugly, in my opinion. What's the big deal about them? A non-paralellogram design that is likely really heavy, overpriced and uses cages instead of pins which, in my experience, grip much better. Hey, maybe they're awesome, but I wouldn't get them.

Very sexy.

Right now there are no Race pedals in stock only the Glory Holes.
anybody knows how to change the pins on these pedals?
are those steel insterts where the pins are screwed into, or are these silver "thingies" part of the pins?

The profiles are super beefy...but I do not like the pin system. There is a raised lip above the pin holes that gets twisted and bent making it very difficult to change them. Along with the fact that you need o fit a small allen key in the twisted pins to get them out.

Marshall has designed a pin that uses a 6mm wrench around its base to remove. The Syncros Mentals are every bit as strong as the profiles and come with 4 bearings.

My profiles are for sale if you want a used pair cheap.

I got some of those and did a review for Pinkbike. They are pretty much indestructible!!! But like some said, they hare SUPER thick and I still personally prefer the feel for the Easton Cully's under my foot. The Assault racing are indeed big bucks and they weight a ton!!!

by the way atom lab pedal suck they dont have bearings and blow up way to easy and are waaaay over priced so what if they look good
I did not like them because they looked good. They are the thinnest (or close to), grippiest and best feeling pedal I've used. The bearings on mine did blow but the pedals still were the best performers in spite of that.

Yes, the pins sits in steel inserts that can also be remove except the two middle ones.

Okay, in response to what a lot of people say about cheap pedals doing the job fine, I've found three problems with this from experience (at least one is guaranteed to surface with sub-$30 pedals sans Wellgo):
They weigh a ton
The bearings don't last/develop play
They don't grip well
Now, I am not a fan of spending a lot on pedals (or on anything for that matter). I have ridden cheap Primo flats which were too tall, had zero grip, and weighed a metric ton.
Ringle ZuZu's weighed too much and didn't grip as well.
Ringle Octane's gripped well, but developed about a 1/4" of slop that was irreconcilable even after multiple rebuilds. They also are a tad heavy
Shimano DX-30's rule. They are light, low profile, very grippy, durable (until you shear pins off so bad that they can't be replaced), and I scored a pair on eBay for $55 new.
If I had to do it again, I would buy some Wellgo flats as they are cheap and last well enough. If they do have problems after repeated abuse, just buy another pair, and you'll still be cheaper than those pricy pedals. That way you will have all the fresh grip and perfect bearings, something hard to come by with a destroyed pair of high-end pedals, even after a complete rebuild.
Oh, and ditto on the bit about cartridge bearings not withstanding side loads nearly as well as loose-bearing systems. One of my Shimano's does have a tiny bit of slop after a summer of rampant abuse, but it's hardly noticeable. I do like sealed though because it's one less thing to regularly maintain.

I feel just opposite of you on those ZuZu's......I had a set of Primo Mags, and while I felt their concavity was better fit for my particular foot, the pin longevity was just too short for my tastes. The Zu-Zu's I had for nearly two years with no problems and pin wear was an absolute freakin' minimum!! Those things still gripped just as good two years into it as they did the first day. I guess I'm just not that hard on pedals.....who knows. But, I think to determine pedal comfort, it's just as much what shoe you're using, combined with your unique foot shape. That's why there are so many different types of pedals out there....when you find something that fits you, stick with it, and stay the course. Nobody is going to agree on the best pedal, and what may be good for you, sucks for everyone else. :)
