I am looking at some DT swiss wheels and have narrowed it down to two sets that are about the same price.

1. xr4.1d with onyx hubs and 14gr DT swiss spokes
2 x455 with onyx hubs and DT swiss 2.0 spokes

They are about the same price. Just not sure which way to go??? Any help would be great. Thanks

I don't know what's up with 455's. Is that an OEM rim?

I think it is. I looked at DT's website and couldn't find them.

I've run the 4.1d rims for 2 seasons now including downhill runs at Downieville and they've held up without as much as a dent. I've been really impressed by them considering how light they are.

I've been running the 4.1Ds on my all mtn bike for about 4 years now (along with onyx hubs). I've been really please with the 4.1Ds as an all around rim - good strength, good weight, good price. The hubs haven't held up as well as I'd like, but they aren't bad hubs either. Just thought I'd throw that in as an FYI.

And FWIW... I've been running the XR4.2D rims on my SS for about a year. I'm equally happy with those rims.
