I stupidly forgot to take out the washer before using my crank tool to remove my hussefelts and now I think the splines on the cranks are messed up. The crank doesn't seem to go on all the way and when I tighten it down i get about a 1/4" of an inch of movement from my chainring. It doesn't have any play in it but when rotating the cranks I can see the chainring move out a litte away from the chainguide and then back in again. Any one had a problem like this before? Is it the crank, or the bottom bracket, or what? Thanks for your help, -Jeff
(By the way, its not really noticable when riding and I have been riding with it like this lately until I do something about it. Is it important to get it fixed right away? I'm going to Canada for a week though and I don't want it to crap out on me or ruin something else on my bike, will it?)
