These brakes are on my Giant 2001 XTC NRS bike. The rear brake started to loose a significant amount of pressure, and I believe that there is a leak. I would like to rebuild the brake and replace the o-rings but I am not sure which model it is.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!IMG_0234.jpgIMG_0233.jpgIMG_0232.jpg

i'd imagine a good bleed to get rid of any air in the system is all that's needed

looks like the same business as an hfx-9, maybe a mag. See if you can grab a few identifying parts and compare. I think the barrel is a certain size on the nines vs. mags, and the piston is a little different. See if you can figure out what system its similar too, then buy your parts from there.

Hayes MAG HFX Comp. Uses a cheaper Master cylinder (plastic) than the MAG HD.

G1 Caliper is same across the lines, so at least you didnt get the goofy G2's.

Those are the same design as the calipers on a very old set of Mags I have. Mine don't say Comp on the MC and the calipers are solid black.

The calipers look like old MAGs. My buddy has a set and had the same problem a couple of days ago in Downieville. Had them bled and they work fine now...
