on the straight 8 is it on the back of the swingarm? or on the chainstay...?

I know there is amde a 22mm hayes standard to IS adaptor...but I just don't know if there'd be anough room to get it all tucked into the rear end or not...

I had a Yeti Straight Four....and I had the adaprot on it, but I can't think if the rear end of that was anything like the straight 8....I know the 4 didn't have a floater though...
