Hi
I have tektro tkd88 brakes on my mountain bike, they are not great but I want to learn how to use them the longest possible.
And find out what is wrong with them
I bought the bike used so I am ot sure of past use, and I habe tried bleeding 5 times before getting to a point where they are starting to work.
I think I have screwed the bleed screw too tight and also I have put a lot of pressure during the process.
So when i follow the pdf, using a recipient on top, when i unscrew seringe on the bottom fluid comes out before I can replug it with the bottom screw. Why this screw is not like on cars I do not understand sonce it works great on my car.( yes you can fill and screw in at the same time)
So I have better results loading from the top but I have to engage the brake lever fully and apply huge force on the seringe to make the lever go back out, then I remove the seringe and loose a lot of fluid and put the screw back in.
And the result is just ok.
I cant understand why this process is so difficult and the result so bad, any advice can help me thanks
