Help with scraping sound on freshly rebuilt Fox Rear Shock

Hey guys, quick question. Just rebuilt my Pushed Triad on a 2007 SJ FSR- just new seals and Float Fluid, and it seems I'm getting a very faint scraping sound in the first 3-5mm of travel on the shock. Before I go ahead and open it up again, is this normal from the new seals, or is it something not seated correctly? It doesn't continue beyond that initial point, and there are no leaks. Shock feels dialed, I just want to make sure I'm not potentially hurting the shock body.

Anyone experience this or should I open up and re-seat? Thanks! (oh yeah... this is my first post, but been lurking around for tech stuff the past few years)

Things to check: Did you put a generous amount of grease around the seal on the inner and outer seal walls before you re-installed. Did you re-grease all the shimz?

If you look on the outside of the air can you'll see a little dimple. This is the air transfer port that balances the positive and negative air automatically. The scratching sound is excessive Float Fluid built up in that dimple being aerated by the air in the shock.

Nothing to worry about, it will eventually evacuate from the dimple and stop making the sound.
