Ok, I'm not going to post the story b/c it's the same old crap - Chicken little says that the sky is falling, again.

When is Ashcroft going to realize that he is de-sensitizing people to these terror warning? We have been told numerous times that Al-Qeda is about to attack. We hear it every holiday, whenever a big meeting happens, and the 3rd thursday of every month (ok... maybe not the last one).

How much money are we spending on anti-terrorism measures (i.e. homeland security) - yet these guys tell us that we should be the ones to look out for suspicous activity!!! By the time I see some dude walking around in a big coat while it's 90*, or a truck that is suspicious - IT'S TOO LATE!

I wish these guys would go back to taking care of things in a covert manner...

They just want to be able to say, "See! There...I told you so!" The gov't was criticized before for not making public the perceived threats against us, so now we must guess amongst the deluge of warnings which refer to legitimate forseeable threats and which reference threats made by drunk or drugged crackpots spouting off. The CYA is a blight upon the balls of most public "servants".

I rather suspect that the warning was issued to deflect attention from Kerry's VP choice and remind the populace that we are "at war"...
