Dont know if anyone cares but the Steelers are opening up against the Dolphins on Thursday....Get ready for some repeat champions
lol.Charlie Batch.
LOL
Im going to the Bears-Bills game this year in Chicago. Should be fun to jeer Jauron. I cant beleive that guy got another job...after being so successful and all...Is it football season again already? Go Bills!
are the Bears going to score any points with their offense this year? or just keep games close with their D-fense and hope for the best?lol.
yea wtf mate?
Couldnt find ANYONE better than batch? That Omar Jacobs looks like a winner too.
Bears.
probably just rely on the defense.are the Bears going to score any points with their offense this year? or just keep games close with their D-fense and hope for the best?
Defense wins championships!probably just rely on the defense.
I'm personally rooting for the Houston Oilers this year.Is it football season again already? Go Bills!
have they been sitting Warren Moon during the preseason? I haven't seen any of his stats!I'm personally rooting for the Houston Oilers this year.
Batch will have to do with the likes of Grossman and Griese already taken. Not fair of the Bears to hoard all that QB talent.lol.
yea wtf mate?

Bears.
Griese has a career QB rating in the mid 80's and a winning record. Grossman has an arm that Batch could only dream of. And IMO, Big Ben is overrated too, but whatever.Batch will have to do with the likes of Grossman and Griese already taken. Not fair of the Bears to hoard all that QB talent.
Dude, what are you smoking? They moved to Los Angeles.I'm personally rooting for the Houston Oilers this year.
Get the f**k out of here!Dude, what are you smoking? They moved to Los Angeles.

I didn't watch the game but isn't pretty much standard procedure to call a TO before a game ending field goal to try to shake the kicker? I've only seen it done a hundred times by about every team in the same position.Steelers are a joke. Cowher trying to blame refs after the game really pissed me off. Also, if I were Jim Mora jr. I wouldnt have even shook his hand after the game for the crap he pulled on that field goal attempt. Calling TO as the play began. WTF is that? Dirty move by a dirty coach. Down with the steelers.
No no, this wasnt the standard "icing the kicker" it was something else altogether. He didnt call TO until the play was in action and somehow got away with it. Even the announcers were all "WTF?" replaying when the ball was snapped and the sound, synching it up. It was BS.I didn't watch the game but isn't pretty much standard procedure to call a TO before a game ending field goal to try to shake the kicker? The TO part just sounds like bad ref'ing. I'm sure everybody would call time out in the middle of a play if they could get away with it. But blaming **** on refs after the game is teh gay no matter what. Want to win? Put enough points up on the board so one play makes no difference. It isn't like that was some low scoring defensive slugfest. No no, this wasnt the standard "icing the kicker" it was something else altogether. On the play, the kicker made a 56yd FG, but the refs overturned it, made him kick again and he missed.
...Then pit gets the ball back, march down the field, and false start when trying to spike the ball for a FG. So, that means there's a 10 second clock runoff, end of regulation, and then cowher goes apesh!t in the press conf. calling out the refs saying it wasnt a false start "when replay plainly shows it was" ... whatever. Good for them losing. I hate the steelers.
Yeah, just as the play was about to begin, he sort of taps or grabs the side judge's attention away from the line, the ref looks away the ball is snapped, cowher says "Timeout" the ref looks back and starts blowing the whistle after the play has already begun. I couldnt beleive it.The TO part just sounds like bad ref'ing. I'm sure everybody would call time out in the middle of a play if they could get away with it. Its come to my attention that the lounge populace dont like "da bears" or other NFL threads, so Im just posting in other peoples'.How come BS didn't start a thread this week to announce the Bears are still undefeated? He's slipping.
I woul have liked to see them win mainly because Charley Batch was in, I think. I'd like to see Charley go undefeated as the backup while Ben struggles.Yeah, just as the play was about to begin, he sort of taps or grabs the side judge's attention away from the line, the ref looks away the ball is snapped, cowher says "Timeout" the ref looks back and starts blowing the whistle after the play has already begun. But yeah, its not even like the Falcons are good. Giving up 40 points to them is a sign of a horrid season. Thank god for that.
NFL on Sirius makes a Baboon happy.Didn't see the game, but did listen to parts of it on Sirius.
[Rob]But you can get synchronized swimming and basket weaving on XM! [Rob] :biggrin:NFL on Sirius makes a Baboon happy.
I was out picking up dinner last night and got to hear the Tampa Bay broadcast of their win over Philly. That was sweet. I don't care which team won...the call was awesome.[Rob]But you can get synchronized swimming and basket weaving on XM! [Rob]
Charlie is a good guy! I have never met Ben, but as for him strugling? he was doing fairly well when he got knocked out.I woul have liked to see them win mainly because Charley Batch was in, I think. I'd like to see Charley go undefeated as the backup while Ben struggles.
Right, right. My favorite thing about football is all the hand wringing and gnashing of teeth that goea on the next day after a loss. Like the world is going to stop spinning because of a football game.YOUR A JOKE! BOTH YOU AND YOUR BEARS......Just wait, there gonna rebound...well them or greenbay..hopefully them...just wait when the bears beging to lose...or you can always crown the raiders.
The TO part just sounds like bad ref'ing.
