Who knows anything about Wheat Ridge. My younger brother is looking at a job there. I'd love to see him get out of where he is now, but is it nice, ghetto, what's housing like, etc.

Wheatridge is pretty nice. Mostly older suburb. Pretty close to downtown. Like anywhere in our area there are nice areas, crappy areas, etc.

Wheatridge is a pretty small city compared to most of the suburbs.

Can't go wrong, I say!

Maybe cuz I grew up in Miami, ya know, riots and all... but I don't think there's a really crappy place in Greater Denver at all.

WR is good, thought about moving there.

You should drive around some time.

Of course, maybe by Miami standards there *aren't* any really crappy places.

Except Commerce City and Highland's Ranch, of course. :p

I live in west Aurora, I drive through east Aurora periodically.

Is there some place worse than east Aurora?

*shrug*

I got used to being a minority in Miami... not cuz I'm a jew, cuz I'm white ;)

Geez, I miss Miami's diversity... yummy food, good music.

Little Five Points used to be pretty rough, as did select areas of West Denver. Dunno how they'd compare to "real" rough places, though. :D

I don't know how it used to be, but currently Five Points ain't sh*t compared to "real" rough places, i.e. East St. Louis.

And yes, Wheat Ridge isn't bad. Pretty generic suburbs from what I've seen. I bought my current bike from Wheat Ridge Cyclery. I would definitely recommend them.
