Got up early to attend an impromptu online lecture and Q+A session of a carbon specialist. Interestingly it turned out that he is the guy behind all the carbon handlebars and seat posts that make it unscathed through all the tests of the German Bike mag (Syntace, SQ Lab). Really cool dude for offering that much insight. Learned a lot!

Mornin!

No success hunting. Saw a few does, but couldn't get a shot. No complaints, year two was way more productive than year one.

We rode past the park entrance in the afternoon...
No kidding, I was wondering if you would still be riding with how blustery it got.

We spent both days hubting down at Round Pond. Decent area to hunt, but tough to imagine deer wanting to tramp around in the relatively bare woods with all those agricultural fields around.

Hello all. Slept uneasily. Back at work, part of my 5 weekends per year that I put in.

Rented a log splitter yesterday and got through a little over 2 cords. Grilled wings and bonfire afterwards. Sunday funday with the kids today, despite being sore. Donuts and coffee consumed, now going for a hike. Might stop and see the owls afterwards. Hot tub and some point, and probably relaxing in the hammock. I think grilled potato wedges and burgers and beers for dinner.

Trying to figure out how to build me a canoe barn using my wooden fence. I need to store a 16.5 and a 17.5 foot canoe. Having the cherry decks and gunwales of one of my canoes (Swift Winisk) replaced due to weathering. The old tarping method held too much moisture. Do not want ot have to do this again. Off to the woodpile to see what I can come up with.

The elbow thing is getting real old fast. Have not been on the bike in anger since the first week of August. Driveway curb bashing does not count.
