Being a brother of the lower frequencies, I only get to look over LD's shoulders at plots, so the scope and grandeur of your plot is semi lost on me.

Nowadays there are a lot more movers and color changers than par cans, and usually only 8-12 specials, and moles for blinders.

The advent of moving, color changing lights has really made theatrical and rock n roll lighting different worlds.

Impressive nonetheless. What sort of PA do you have in that theatre?

I get to play with stuff like this:

We have a crappy PA in our theatre. some crazy recording board and a buch of old stuff.

But, I started out as a sound guy, so I can appreciate your stuff. What kind of board is that? Soundcraft? It doesnt look like a Midas......

I actually have my own "sound company." We dont really do much, but its there :) I also work for another sound company that does shows in DC. Quick easy money for loading in and out, and I get to see the shows for free :D

Last summer, I worked a George Clinton show :thumb:

That *is* a Midas console.

XL-250 to be exact, 52 inputs 22 output buses.
We have several others, Crest X10M, Yamaha PM2800M, and PM3000M.

George Clinton eh? I've been the monitor tech on a Clinton/Parliment show, pretty rockin band.

What venues do you work in in DC?

l8r,

Marc

I have a 16 channel Mackie, but my other board is a Midas :D

Timberlake Sound works at Lu-Lu's Mardi Gras club, and some other place of which I cant remember the name....

I worked some union overhire for Some country guy.. cant remember his name but he's the big sponsor the "the new Ford F150"

They had a Digico board, that thing was SICK! It seriously is the most technologically advanced board I have ever seen (for sound that is) They were also touring with a Grand MA lighting console

That show was fun :)

Toby Keith. He played in this area last year. An entire semi was devoted to carting around that silly F150, its lights and turntable.

The digico consoles are a product of Showco. They are pretty cool. Godsmack used one for FOH. They make great monitor consoles for festival shows. Do a sound check, click save, name the file, click zero console button, return to step 1...

Regards,

Marc
