HFX-9 Reservoir staying open during lever engagement?

It took me awhile to figure this one out. The lever was coming back to the bar, but there was no leak and the bleed was good. It also happened almost spontaneously about 200 yds into a ride...

I finally figured out, from trying to rebleed, that the reservoir is staying open even while the lever is being engaged. So when I remove the little cap, and pump the lever, instead of pushing fluid into the caliper (or bleed kit) it pumps it out the bleed hole on the lever.

Anyone have any idea which part # I will need to fix this? Just an o-ring, hopefully? I'm assuming I'll have to rebuild the lever (which is really annoying)... or is there an easier fix. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Not that anyone probably cares, but Hayes says it's a faulty reservoir bladder (probably torn) and is sending me a new top cap. Great customer service!

Thanks for the info. I've got these brakes, and have found them damn near impossible to service. The manual sucks, too. :mumble:
