Wow. That reminds me of a fall I had a few years ago, only I was sure there was a blender involved too...
Turns out I have idiot friends too...
how the hell does SS have 11,000 posts on mtbr?
11K there, 40K here. Just imagine if he spent all that time actually riding instead of yapping his trap.
he has three kids...i bet they post for him....
I wonder how many push ups they have to do if they don't meet quota.
This ride is penciled in for my east coast visitors next Sunday
I hope to avoid the bees.
You have a shuttle arranged, right?
The world need an Uber like shuttle service.
I know a couple guys that do a week-long trip to Salida every year, and they post in Craig's List for a shuttle driver for multiple days. I don't know what they pay this person for each day, maybe $100 or something split up by X number of riders? They just use one of their own trucks, pay for fuel and gas and everyone chips in to pay the found driver. They'll tick off 3-4 shuttles on Monarch Crest and surrounding rides each day. So far, they haven't had any issues with anyone messing up or stealing their truck.
Then you're not going on the same ride.
It's the monks on the roller coaster that always starts me giggling.
There was no where near enough ride for the hiking quotient then needing to downhill off a cliff made of baby heads.
Bonus of no bees though.
*In no way would I recommend this ride unless I didn't like the person.
Both my wife and the friend who hiked it with me today found your picture review hilarious @Pesqueeb he was also drinking Titan IPA this evening. I showed them the review tonight
I can't believe this ride was 8 years ago.
Pssssssht. I have a kid going away to college in about a month.
a classic ride report if there every was .....
That kid may not have been double-digits in age when we rode this.
He was (barely) but the other two weren't.
Kinda makes me think that I should go do this ride again.
Is this e-legal? Because if so I’ll do it if there is a repeat. If not then hell to the no.
It's not a ride, it is a hike with your bike with very limited riding opportunities.
I think I generously gave it 2/5 on mtbproject and as I mentioned earlier in todays gmt, the most redeeming feature of the "ride" is you can continue to bitch about it, 8 years later as witnessed here.
And this is probably the reason you will see *zero* people on this ride.
^^^ I lol'd
