Could you get away with ridding an all mountain rig at highland mbp? maybe like a ransom, or sx? i ask becasue i am buying a new bike and will be riding here along with trails around my house in mass. i was also looking at a bottle rocket. i have a dirtbag now but it sux to ride trails around here. i was told the br can do it all. so it is on the top of my list but the scott ransom has caught my eye.

bottlerocket is a solid choice. W/ a 66 or maybe totem on the front it would rip highland. my buddy has the 66 on his and does plenty well at highland and local trails...lynn/fells etc. maybe try to get the air version if its going to a all rounder as it is a somewhat heavy bike. I see a few sx trails up at Highland as well. you definetly want 170 plus if your intent is DH/FR w/ it on the mountians. Trails not so much. I rode my asx w/ 36 on it and it felt good but definetly got kicked around a bit more than usual on the tech stuff.
