Shouldn't police know the law, and that the bike lane is supposed to be an give, and in no way, anywhere in any DOT or Criminal law is it illegal to ride outside of that lane (which is not present on the bulk of streets anywhere, much less in NYC)
With all the budget and economic concerns, a well paid policeman is busy harassing citizens (tax payers?) rather than protecting the communities taxes pay them to do? Revenue generation? Is the government attempting to be a profit center? The 15k annually I pay NYC is not enough, so now I might have to pay additional fees to the services I fund in the first place to justify their entitlements?
