The dude is really true class in my opinion. He may be the best ever lieutenant. I would really hope he would go on to marshal a team when he retires. He has to know at least half of what Bruyneel knows by now. And that many stages, including a TT with a busted clavicle. I can't imagine that pain and dedication.

Dude!! He did the Mont Ventoux (or however that mountain is spelled) AND the COBBLES with that damn thing broken!! AND he led out the final sprint. He is a freakin' STUD! :cupidarrow: (OK, I might have the teensiest crush...)

The interview I saw with him at the end of the tour, or the next to last day or whenever it was, he said he wasn't retiring yet, but he wasn't sure how much longer he was racing. But it sounds like he is entertaining a showing on Team Radio Shack, or at least he's considering it enough to be torn up about what his next move is...maybe he'll stay with Columbia??
