got this e-mail today from a kid i sold my Giant DH Comp frame too...a little over 1 year ago :think:
now it was used for about a month of just urban riding, until i figured out it was too small for me.
frame was sold for $900, w/Avalanche rear shock, rear wheel/or just rear hub(can't remember), thomson seatpost, chain guide, and brand new Team Black rear triangle.
side note, i still have the old swing arm and linkage at home, so this kid got BRAND NEW SWING ARM AND LINKAGE....sorry

I would take it with a grain of salt for an e-mail like that. If he insists on acting like an a-hole who doesn't know how to spell, then he shouldn't get a response. If you know you didn't F him over, I wouldn't worry about it. He may just be trying to get a new swingarm or even money because he did something to it.

He probably built your hub into a wheel and didn't realize the giant takes a zero dish wheel.
I wouldn't be surprised if he thinks you sold him a bent rear triangle cause it's asymetrical

And yeah, shame on you for making him lose his job!!!

Wow, you must have really sent him a crappy bike in order for him to lose his job AND get the the frame messed up in a year. :rolleyes: lol, thats pretty lame of him.

So he emails you a year later. Did he ride this bike within that year? Did he just forget to let you know sooner that there was a problem. Maybe the damaged rear end on the bike caused him to lose his job. :D

GOD dont you hate when you buy used stuff and the owner replaces major parts!!! gees stuff like that really ticks me off!!! And YOU YOU YOU almost killed this poor kid. Because a year of riding is not alot!! gees your an ass! HOW COULD YOU!!

Glad I'm doing a COMPLETE refurbish on that Disco frame I sold Vitox. Repolished it and everything. He will pull it out of the box and be stoked he only paid $500.

There are some tennis strings made from real gut. Not sure that will help you though. I blame DHS that dinner gave me the squirts. That is kind of gut related.
