One of the guys at my old shop did this accidentally and also sufferred no ill affects. If they were my brakes, I'd have switched back once I noticed but this guy didn't care. Last I knew everything was fine after about a year like that.

I want to move to BC!!!
I had my rear XT brake filler with Fork light oil and it felt much worse than using the stock shimano mineral oil. The only thing what would work alternatively is the Magura oil.

BTW, XT 755 discs are the same as the Grimeca system 8 (or12), the only difference is that grimeca uses Dot, shimano uses mineral.... so the seal compound materials are or should be different on those two brakes.....

Oh and a seal wont be eaten by Dot fluid like it is some kind of acid.... it will gradually deteriorate the material structure of the seal, and under heat and pressure ...baaam. :D:D:D

fork oil should work fine as its also mineral based. have to use 3 weight though- any higher an its to thick. The magura mineral oil you buy is actually repacked finishline fork oil- if you believe the magura cult page anyways.

I use battery acid!
battery acid will expand with heat, that's why I use Kool-Aid, it comes in lots of nice colors and in case you run out of liquids on a long ride you can drink it in an emergency. Just be sure to use the add your own sugar kind, lord knows what sugar would do to the seals etc!
