This place has a race every Wednesday and is hosting a 24 Trilife race in June.
So they dont race the normal classes but you can either do 1, 2 or 3 laps. I race beginner so I opted for the 2 laps figuring Id be up against Beg & sport guys.
The course was good, nothing overly technical, mostly single track with some dirt roads used as connecters. Added in for fun was a couple bridges, couple deep mud puddles (with some thin planks to ride if ya had enough skill) and 2 stream crossings. They started all 1&2 lappers at the same time so it was impossible to keep track of who seemed to be in my age group.
I had fun, bobbled in the roots too much, had to stop to put my chain back on once, passed a couple racers half my age, got wet & muddy . Overall =
They didnt post results at the race (should be up on their site today or tomorrow) but I'm figuring I finished mid pack.
I did find out I need to work on:
Avoiding having to put my foot down when riding slippery roots
Quickly clipping back in
And NOT following the guy in front of me off course
