What kind of info. are you looking for? I was looking into that frame earlier to replace my 2002.5 HP in order to get a smaller one (ended up with a Turner, though). I do know that it comes with Ti hardware for weight reduction.
As far as the ride goes, I wouldn't expect it to be any different than the 2002.5 b/c it has the same linkage; excellent climber and peddler. I'm sure there is tons of info. here on the boards about its ride characteristics but if you have more questions, let us know.
Well, I've done LOTS of searches on the forums. As far as I can tell, only -BB- has actually purchased one of the 2003's.
Specifically, I am looking for a technical explanation of the rear suspension; how it works, theory behind it, difference between blur and spider, etc.
Currently I am riding a specialized fsr xc and I am wondering how it compares. The fsr is fairly plush and a good pedaler, but not great under braking, and lots of noise/chain/derailuer slap through rough sections. I am hoping the hollowpoint is quieter.
I am also looking for thoughts on durability. The fsr is flexy is the rear with all the pivots. I am wondering how the hollowpoint is.
It seems like a great deal. The cost of the components less the frame seems to be more than the cost of the entire bike.
Well, the suspension design for the 2003 is the same as the 2002.5 so whatever you've read will hold true to the team frame. I don't know enough about suspension to go into a technical explanation but I can tell you about the ride.
It is stiff and very active under braking. The only flex I ever encountered was when the pivot bolts started to loosen up but that's to be expected once any full suspension bike starts to break in. I have ridden a Stumpjumper FSR, Giant NRS and Santa Cruz Superlight and the Hollowpoint is much more "plush". It took me a long time to get the right setup for the rear but once I did, I found that it was a snappy peddler. It climbs extremely well, the rear wheel tracks the ground like glue and descends very well, too. I would say that the one weakness that I found with the bike was that the wheelbase was long so, it wasn't as nimble in tight singletrack like I was looking for. The higher bb was also a strength and a weakness. I never had any problems getting over logs but I also felt very tall on the bike.
If its all possible, see if you can ride one just to get a feel for the fit. Even though the geometry numbers may be the same as other bikes, each bike has its own "feel".
Its more than worth what you're getting with it. Aside from fit and feel issues, you can't go wrong with the Hollowpoint.

The DW link was designed by a RideMonkey member (coincidentally his name is dw). I seem to remember recently he was talking about it in one of the forums, so searching his posts would be a good place to start
Believe me, I've done LOTS of searches and read everything DW posted about the dw-link suspension. However I still haven't found any technical overview or differences compared to the vpp bikes.
If anyone knows of a SPECIFIC thread, please direct me.
