Either Mavic will be fine, one is a little lighter and the other is a little stronger.

All are pretty decent when built up right.
Ive been running a front singletrack rim that has outlasted many other bike parts throughout the years.
But if I had the choice of the three, i would most likely take the D521/721 as it seems to be the best weight/stregnth ratio rim. I ran a rear one for the last 2 seasons with no problems as well. Mind you, im not really that hard on wheels.

EX729 = 29 mm inner diameter
EX721 = 21 mm inner diameter
I believe that is the new naming convention
I vote for the single tracks. I'm biased towards sun rims. I've had issues with mavics in the past and never had a problem with sun.
