He wants every American to have an ID (eg. driver's license) to contain a digital chip that would be "read at vital checkpoints" (whatever that scary idea means) and would be needed to log onto the internet.

On a positive note about how great the USA is, the supreme court ruled that a portion of the Patriot Act is unconstitutional! G-d Bless Checks and Balances!

Yeah I read this off of slashdot yesterday, kinda sucks. I like some of what dean has to say, but this is a major stumbling block in my book.

Its going to be interesting to see how this plays out with the patiot act. Does anybody think this is going to be the only part that is challenged? I don't. It should be interesting to see what happens, with bush's statment in the SotU about it needing to be renewed
