Hey everyone,

I just built a bike rack for my tacoma double cab and just wanted to share. Really easy with 25 bucks from home depot, and is quite sturdy.

Instructions are here if anyone wants to try, im sure you all seen it before anwyays.

that looks nice, i can see a few more mod's you can do to make it better. I'd make a wooden base made out of some 2X4 to add wieght and also raise the front to keep the wheel from rolling out, thereby removing the need for a bunjee chord.....
just screw the pvc into the 2X4 blammo......

The are slightly smaller then the 16.5 tubes that they recomended. I have mines sitting in the middle of the truck facing backwards and between the wheel wells. Those tubes are about 12-12.25 inches, thats about as close as I can measure from outside. I built the left, middle, and right wheel holder thinggy and then figured out how much what lenght tubing i needed. Its very tight in there, and i used little rubber feet to keep it in place. Works great!

Made one for my Tacoma as well. I've been using it for a little over 2 years and have hauled lots of bikes a long way. I've had as many as 5 bikes in it, insert 3 bikes in the slots and fill in the gaps with 2 others facing the opposite direction to keep the bars from hitting.
