It seems like going tubeless with a homemade set of studded tires would be a good idea. You wouldn't have to worry about the screw heads causing flats. Would the sealant seal all thoses screws? Do you this would work?

The sealant might work. You don't really have to worry about flats if you cover all of the screw heads with a layer of duct tape.
The bottle says works in SUB-freezing weather,But i'm skeptical how well it will work.
call Stans and ask at what temp it freezes at. But i think once it seals at room temp it'd be fine
Not sure, but I have a friend who made some home made studded tires for his motorcycle that he used to ride on frozen ponds. I'll ask and see what he did to make it air tight.
Youre going to be using a hell of alot of Sealant if you can even get enough to make it work.
You dont have to worry aobut flats AT ALL if you cover them with duct tape....4 layers or so is good.
