I plan on building my own truing stand. Has anyone done this?

What I plan to do is pretty heavy-duty...with some nicely mounted Mitutoyo dial gages and spring loaded calipers and such.

I'd love to hear about other peoples' experiences in this area.

peace,

I will definitely post some pics when it's done, but it'll be a while, I still have to design it on paper, order the steel and other stuff, find the time to make it. hopefully by the end of the summer, it will be done...I'm working on a couple of other projects at the same time.

Hey,
Good plans, bu trust me you wont want to fall through with it. If you are supposibly using wood, it will hold up....for a while. Of course you can make it hold up alot longer than that, but just spend the money for a nice park stand. They are only like 130 bucks, and you cant go wrong with their fold up legs and onboard truing stand...with the purchase of a little extra stuff. But well worth it, and you dont waste precious riding time.
