Ok quick question, what is the best way to hook my laptop up to my TV?

My laptop has an output for a monitor and my TV has svideo and AV cable input.

You don't have an output for s-video on your laptop?

If that's the case, you need a VGA conversion box. Like this one only the reviews seem bad, might want to look for a better reviewed product.

Nah, our laptop is only for surfing and Aubrey's word processing.
When I bought it I bought a sturdy bottom of the line dell.

That's the same thing I did, and my 5 year old bottom-of-the-line Dell still has an port for S-video

You might want to double check and make sure you didn't mistake it for a PS/2 port, but if all it has is VGA out, like I said, you need a converter box.

I already looked and it only has a VGA out.
I'll look again just for you though.
