alright fo some reason i decided that i needed to take apart my rear bulb. i have never really taken a rear hub apart all the way before but it was easier than i thought. the question that i have is what kind of grease/ oil should i put back into the hub? i have some tri-flow synthetic grease is that stuff ok or should i use something else? also i am just curious to kings come apart as simply as the hope did?

thanks for all the help ahead of time

don't put grease in there. Some kind of oil is usually okay; Phil Wood Tenacious Oil is nice, otherwise just use something light. Grease gums up the pawls and kills the hub.

Kings are a little different from Hopes; most cartridge bearing hubs work pretty much the same way except for Kings.

I just used some light finish line stuff or park. Nothing super fancy.

The grease helps on the pawls as well to keep them holding in their little area. Just put a dab on each one so they stay put when you place the cassette back on.

Hope stuff is stupid simple. I always imagined hubs to be more difficult (rear atleast) but they are simple. Thank god for that one!
