Yeah, what he said. Shimano's might lack appeal but they work great, are not too expensive, and you can find parts just about anywhere if you need 'em. That's true of hayes too, but not avid (yet) or magura (ever).

My vote: Get a set of Saint or xt calipers, regular xt levers, and shimano or hayes rotors and be happy.

I just got a set of gustavs yesterday and am heading out to ride them right now, I'll give ya a report when I get back.

Just finished riding and all I can say is wow. If you remember the first time you went from v-brakes or canti's to discs this is about the same amount of difference between h(g)ayes and gustav's. Modulation is incredible and power is great. Set-up was a breeze . If you are getting a set I would recomend the 190mm front rotor unless your a big guy, the 210 is realy almost too much power. I can't vouch long term but inital impressions are VERY possitive.
