Hi guys,
I was about to replace my hayes hfx9 8" front and rear with a new set of hope m6. I am given the choice of standard set rotors( 205 front & 185 rear) OR 205mm front and rear. I weight 200 pounds. I know the advantage of having a bigger rotor= more stopping power and cooling, further more, rear rotor do not neccessary be big. But aprt from all these, is there anything i would missed out if i choose a standard set? Do the hope m6 185mm rotor comes "floating" like the 205mm? Last question, all riders with rear m6, do you run 185mm or 205mm?

Thanks guys, sorry for the fuss.

:help:

Just based on interchanging parts, I would (and do between 2 bikes) keep everything more standardized and just stay with the big rotors. Easier to switch rotors, you can buy 1 spare and have it work for front or back, switch caliper mount adapters etc.

Thanks kidwoo! Good point you have there.

Brain, do you mean you uses both 205 front and rear for your m6s?
