Does anyone know if Hope is going to come out with something new in the DH line in the near future? I'm thinking of trying out the monos but will probably wait if it's about to be outdated.

As far as brakes go, I don't think in the immediate future. The only issue I can see with changes will be due to the IS fork mount of the week. Fox has thrown a curve ball, and from what I hear through the grapevine Marzocchi maybe following. If someone has more info on future Marzocchi brake mount standards please chime in.

I must not be on the same line of thought here. Why would you buy something just because it's the newest model when the current one is damn good. Heck even the older Hope models are great to have and work really well. I would get the current model and then wait until the newer models have proven themself worthy...not all the new ideas work out to be better.

Considering Hope usually scraps their DH brake and comes out with a new model almost every single year, the fact that the mono's are on their second run has to make you wonder eh?

Maybe they're just running out of ideas on ways to gouge their customers...

I'm not concerned with having the latest model. But if I’m going to shell out a bunch of cash and then find out that the new brakes are half the weight, double the bling, I would be sore.

I have a 2000 monster T that works really well, but that doesn't mean I run it.
