I assume you cant use a qr system when you run horizontal dropouts. Do I need to buy a new axel and stuff? What do I need?

you can use QR. u'll just need some chain tensioners.
or you could put a thru axle into your hub, if its possible.
or get a new hub.

You can with a qr, just have to watch it. Is it single speed? I have a p.1 that I have gears on and use a QR hub. I have thought about making it a bolt on though (just for safety).

If you run single speed a bolt through would be key unless you like running your axle right up against the drop out. You can get things pretty snug but a set of chain tensioners would work best. QR's and single speeds I don't think work too well.

If you use a QR make sure it's a burly one. Can be done and a few peple round here do it. Chain tensioners and bolts are the best option though.

its not too difficult, but you need the right tools to do it. I'd recommend letting someone who knows what they're doing switch it out at least the first time so you'll know whats going on.
