Officials said an unlicensed driver lost control of a pickup truck on March Creek near Coppermeade Drive in northwest Harris County. The driver drove through a garage and hit a neighboring home, investigators said. Columns on the home were knocked off in the crash. No one was inside either home at the time of the accident. Officials said three German shepherd puppies were in a basket in one of the garages. They were run over and killed, officials said. The owner of the pickup truck was cited for allowing an unlicensed person to operate a motor vehicle. The driver was the owner's sister.
