seconded.I've always been a Texas Pete fan. But I might have to try this because I've always thought Texas Pete wasn't hot enough.
Bought a bottle the other day. Have not cracked it yet though...I have been eating franks redhot my entire life and recently my desire for spice has been going through the roof. Got some Frank's Redhot Xtra hot the other day. It is awesome!
That is all. I know, lame post
hotsauceblog said:After racking my brain on how I could try this stuff without seriously injuring myself, I decided to mix one crystal into tomato soup. I took a can of standard condensed tomato soup, mixed with one can of water and brought it to a boil. The capsicum crystal will not mix like any of the other Blair’s A.M. line, which makes perfect sense, since it’s a dry crystal and not an oil based extract. So the only way to liquefy this stuff is to heat it up. So using tweezers and gloves, I picked up the tiny crystal.
It’s important to note that the heat will not distribute throughout the soup right away, you need to continue to heat it up, preferably while stirring with a disposable spoon. After about 5 minutes of boiling, my soup was ready to go. First bite was not that hot, so I had the wife take a bite. She threatened divorce once she could speak again, so I tried it again. Then it was hot! So I took a few more bites and had to toss the rest of the pot away - it was too frickin’ hot! And it’s very rare for me to say something is too hot. But this is the hottest hot sauce product known to man.
completely retarded and useless. don't know why you would want something THAT hot, and believe me, I love food more the spicier it is.Blair's has the best hot sauces - flavor and heat. They also make the hottest capsicum extract in the world, 16 million scoville units, way hotter than even law enforcement pepper spray (5 million). Their regular dry spice is amazingly potent but its pretty boring flavor wise like most other hot sauces. Now they also make the 16 million in dry spice form too:
I've never had any desire to try their extracts and don't like the regular dry spice either. The regular dry spice has little flavor like most Tabasco style hot sauces. Their hot sauces have the most flavor of any sauce I've had. Their death rain potato chips are great too.completely retarded and useless. don't know why you would want something THAT hot, and believe me, I love food more the spicier it is.
I am quite content with my regular Tabasco, which is amazing on any type of food known to man.
Another interesting fact about Blair's is that their 3AM Reserve requires the buyer to sign a waiver before purchasing. (Probably a 'shock-n-awe' tactic - but regardless, you know that sh!t is HOT!)
Fried Chicken tastes best with Grape Koolaid!I went to Albertson's and ordered 24 deep fried chicken wings (48 PCS) without spice - they sell that for $18.00 versus 2 whole chickens for $16.00. I had already made the sauce and rushed home to coat the fried chicken - the heated vinegar burned my eyes and choked me up pretty good but its all worth it. Buffalo style chicken wings are best served with cheap beer so we're having Budweiser. My wife will not be impressed - she thinks bar food is bad for you...
