it does now but only because Christian groups said so in the 70's and they just went with it.

Never would have figured Paul Stanley and Elton John ran in the same circles. Pretty amazing Elton could produce that much.
Yep, in the 80's if you would have told me that there was a gay singer in a heavy metal band, and it was either Kiss or Judas Priest,
I would have guessed wrong for sure.
Unless Paul is just still in the closet......with Tom Cruise.

behind the viewfinder
exhibit A:

You've got something about you
You've got something I need
Daughter of Aphrodite
Hear my words and take heed

I was born on Olympus
To my father a son
I was raised by the demons
Trained to reign as the one

God of thunder and rock and roll
The spell you're under
Will slowly rob you of your virgin soul

I'm the lord of the wastelands
A modern day man of steel
I gather darkness to please me
And I command you to kneel
Before the

God of thunder and rock and roll
The spell you're under
Will slowly rob you of your virgin soul

I am the lord of the wastelands
A modern day man of steel
I gather darkness to please me
And I command thee to kneel
Before the

God of thunder and rock and roll
The spell you're under
Will slowly rob you of your virgin soul
exhibit B:
Well, the night's begun and you want some fun
Do you think you're gonna find it, think you're gonna find it
You got to treat yourself like number one
Do you need to be reminded, need to be reminded
It doesn't matter what you do or say
Just forget the things that you've been told
We can't do it any other way
Everybody's got to rock and roll, oh, oh, oh, ooh

Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud

If you don't feel good, there's a way you could
Don't sit there broken hearted, sit there broken hearted
Call all your friends in the neighborhood
And get the party started, get the party started

Don't let 'em tell you that there's too much noise
They're too old to really understand
You'll still get rowdy with the girls and boys
'Cause it's time for you to take a stand, yeah, yeah

Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud

Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud, you've got to have a party
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud, turn it up louder
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud, and everybody shout it now
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud, oh yeah
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud, I hear it gettin' louder
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud, and everybody shout it now
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud, oh
bob dylan or elvis costello they are not.

I've seen Kiss twice...once waaay back just before Peter and Ace left and the band went to hell for a while. Then saw them again here at Walnut Creek, down front, next some chick with some big fakers she was flashin at Paul Stanly. It was the original band, back in make-up (good cause they're some rough lookin dudes) and they rocked. It's not really about the song writing..the made they're name by being bigger, wilder and louder than anyone else at the time. Freaks attract freaks :) I' ve been a fan since about 8 years old...I'm 37 now. I think I even did a short stint in the "Kiss Army"

Not sure about my fave, there's so many. Maybe "I Was Made For Loving You". :p (Just Kidding!)

I have a cousin who is a huge KISS fan. Through him I've been able to meet all of them more than once. Gene is a class act. I was at the NAMM show once and Gene was signing autographs. Everyone is crowding in trying to get a peek at the two outrageously hot ladies he had with him. Well, I was there with my wheelchairbound buddy and because of the chair we were having a hard time getting up front. Eventually Gene's handlers come out saying that the session was over, thank you very much and all that as Gene starts to leave. Well, we we're not leaving without an autograph for the crip so I shout at the top of my lungs, "HEY GENE! WHAT ABOUT THE WHEELCHAIR GUY!?!?!" Gene turns and looks at us and says, Hey man! I am sooo sorry!" and then proceeds to spend the next 20 minutes with my buddy, taking pics, signing autographs etc.

He could have just signed a pic and left. Gene loves his fans.

I'll have to dig them up when I get home but I have some great pix of the KISS guys from the NAMM shows.

I saw KISS 3 times in the late seventies, and their live shows were fantastic! In addition to many pioneer "stage moments", Ace Frehley playing his solo to Shock Me or whatever, and his guitar starts smoking and goes flying out and around the auditorium on a cable still playing the last note was insanely great.

You friggin kids don't have a clue what you missed...
I saw them on Halloween night during their comback tour a few hears back (7 years or so???) and it was an awsome show. Tons of fun.
A bit too cultured for the likes of you all though.

in Hungarian, 'ocasek' means 'mega-dong'
No that would be incorrect, the proper Hungarian for that would be "Nagy fuss".

Trust me, my grandfather took cursing to another level. It got unusually funny when he combined the two languages.
