hello.

I want to buy some stuff over ebay, and want to know if you guys have any ideas on how can i pay for the stuff online without getting stiffed.
my peruvian based credit cards are not accepted by paypal, so paypal is not an option.

what else, traceable can i use??? (no western union plzz)
to send the dough to the seller AND lessen my chances of getting ripped off, and if i get ripped off, how can i do something abuot it?? is there a mafia or A-team i can contact????

You might check into postal money orders, certain country's postal money orders are accepted by our post office as if they were USPS money orders. Can you apply for a pay pal credit card outside of the US? Maybe do the instant transfer thing from your bank account through paypal, although I had a canadian buyer who was unable to achieve this because his bank would not allow it. I don't think you'd have a problem on ebay as long as you buy from sellers with a good seller rating and who contact you reguarding shipping costs and payment options before the auction ends. If all else fails you can just stuff dollar bills in an envelope and send it off in the mail....

How about a international transfer through your bank? Some people on ebay accept this kind of payment. It's used a lot in Europe, the only thing you need is the IBAN number from the recipient and the Swift (also called BIC) code from the recipients bank.

This is how I bought and paid my first bike from the US some years ago. Just made a bank transfer and waited until the recipient gets the money, the bank can trace the payment for you.

Maybe you can find a customer of yours in the country of sale who owes you a sum in a certain amount...have that customer send the buyer a cashier's check for the amount owed plus the price of the goods, and he can wire transfer the excesss to you. This way, you won't have to wait for the cashier's check to clear, which would take too long...

I've used international bank transfers twice now and it has been by far the easiest way to do a transaction outside of the country. There is usually about a $10 fee, but the transfer is secure and the money is guaranteed.

I've used escrow.com with success. They accept all kinds of payment so you could just send them a check. It costs a bit of money but overall the piece of mind it worth it.
I paid $25 on a $850 frame. Not much really.

Hysterical.... absolutely hysterical.

Leads me to believe that folks never pay attention to anything they read anymore.

Ill second escrow.com. I had a friend who sold a dorado to england from the states, and there were similar problems... Its worth a look, and the fees if its possible.
