how do i copy a program to a disc?

well i am trying to copy an application (from a non-networked work pc)to a disc to take home and put on my computer how the hell do i do it?

it is microsoft works or word or whatever it is called. i just need something other than notepad on my computer.

if i use that openoffice thing and write an article to send to a publisher they will not be able to open it. correct? i mean unless they have the open office product as well.

any way it isnt illegal, technically half of the pc is mine. it is just in my office at work.

You can save documents in .doc (M$ Word format) with OpenOffice. Or better yet, save in Rich Text format (.rtf) and almost any word processor can open it.
