Make a Northshore? hmmm, ok, first, you'll need a large land mass. Create an ice-age that carves and shapes your land mass, and throw in some volcanic activity after a while, all together creating a natural bay....make sure it's right next to an ocean by the way...the ocean part is essential to the "shore" portion of the build. Wait a couple million years for the climate to stabilize, find the north end of the bay and poof! There ya have it... your very own Northshore!

we used a type of metal strapping to fasten the log parts down. it can be picked up at any home improvement place to secure larger logs. the rungs we used nails because our rungs were all 2x4 or 2x2 peices of scrap wood.

I dunno...RaceFace does pretty well with aluminum and there's a lot less waiting involved. :p

k here ya go. the rung is the surface you are riding on. sometimes split log, sometimes scrap building material. use metal strapping to hold the logs to their supports or lag bolts (more expensive) and 16 penny or larger nails for your rungs.

You don't.

If you have no knowledge of making a sturdy construction, then don't. You'll be putting riders at risk. I'm sick of bodgy rickety crap being built on the trails because it's the latest fad thing, then having said constructions fail whilst a rider is on them.
Funnily enough, in another state here, if a construction is above a certain height, it must adhere to certain building standards... and I'd like to see alot of the junk on the trails pass the inspections ;)
