how do you start?

Hey im 13 and i love downhill biking. Anything that looks dodgy id be doing it on a bike the next minute. i think im decent and ive did my local trails and been to ben lomond - uk. but i want to become pro when im older. so were do i start. is there younger competitions i can enter. or is there club i can join. i live in dumbartonshyre; i cant travel that far. any sugestions would be great :D

The uk has an active mountian bike culture. Look up mtb clubs in your area and ask them. Above all else don't ask for info from this forum people seem to give dumb **** sarcastic advice when newbies like you ask for some advice. Try the site below and remember to always have fun when you do start racing.

Ask on ride.io they have (or at least had) a strong downhill racing community. I'm quite sure the UK racing scene for young racers is pretty developed. I remember Danny Hart racing at 14 and still hitting the news so you shouldn't have problems with entering races.
