Is there some secret that I don't know for truing a wheel (without buying a stand) without rim brakes? Trying to use my finger as a brake pad kinda sucks...
If your chainstays are symmetrical, measure the distance between them, then measure the width of your rim. Subtract half the width of your rim from half the space between the stays, then place a zip tie where the rim lines up to the stay and cut it to that length.
