My wife worked with an ex military guy at Boeing. For the purposes of this story, we will call him "Juan"....because that is his name. Juan was an immigrant (legal I'm pretty sure), from Mexico.
Swallowing all that B.S. that people seem to believe, he felt it was his duty as an immigrant to serve in the military. (In his situation at the time, it was a good gig. He got an education, and never had to really do anything for it.)
So eventually he gets a job at Boeing, gets married, even signs up for the reserves, had a kid, leaves Boeing for Lockheed...life is good.
Fast forward to now (-ish)....good ol' Juan decides that at the age of 38, (with a 2 or 3 year-old kid, with a cush design job at Lockheed) that NOW would be a good time to re-enlist with the reserves. They'd never actually send him to Iraq, right? Naaaawwwwww..... Everyone told him not to, but he did anyway.
Well guess who's in basic training right now! Guess who will then be sent to Iraq for an EIGHTEEN month tour of duty! Guess who's going over there as a TRUCK DRIVER!!
Poor stupid Juan.... Don't they aim at the trucks out there first?
