Nam I am
Reading Jacksonpt's Ride report got me thinking.

how far do you monkies have to go to get to the trails you ride most often ? ( real trails ) Not ones where you can go and get some quick runs in , nothing against those they are great but they are not what I'm looking for.

Mine is 100 Yards :D

I'm about a mile and a half to a network of trails that goes on forever. Links to some pretty popular rides: Corral, Mr. Toad's, and Cold Creek. Also about about 1 or 2 miles to a BMX track.
Makes me feel lucky.

About 2-3 miles down the road, about a mile if I go up the "secret" back way up the hill from my house. :) I dont go that way anymore though, for good reasons...like a big dog that may chase me...it has before on the way down that way. :(

Its at least 15 minutes to my dirt jumps and on trail, and then 20 minutes to more DJs and more trails the other way.

Around 4 miles to the local trails -- 10 minutes by car; 20 minutes by bike.

Anything else worth riding is between 30 to 100miles. An occasional camping/riding trip of 200 miles.

Closest trail starts in my neighborhood, then HUNDREDS of miles of singeltrack abound just a couple miles up from there.

I am lucky enough to live down hill from a pretty decent trail network. So I can ride there in 10 minutes and get a decent warmup at the same time.

There are a few others within a 30 minute drive. Everything from downhill, BMX tracks, XC and flow park stuff.

God I hate living in Annapolis. ~20-25 miles to the good xc trails. 80 miles to freeride / DH trails. Plus DC / Baltimore traffic to boot.

There are at least 15 different places within a half hour drive of either work or home. Two of my favorites are about 10 minutes from work. I  CT.

i heard west isn't open to DH anymore. :dead:

heard that place was good, but never got there.
Not sure about this season. Last season they were open for a short time...I went once (Memorial Day weekend) for a half day and decided not to DH anymore because I was pregnant (that and West tries to kill me every time I ride there).
